Developing inference

Participants first explore how we all use inference in our everyday lives.  A range of practical tasks will support and encourage pupils to engage in close readings of a fictional text which they will then bring to life. The process compels students to identify explicit information and encourages them to use deduction skills to create coherent and detailed scenes. Finally, pupils will reflect upon review and edit their adaptation. Suitable for Key Stage 2
